Sky Diving!

For my 30th birthday last year, dang I'm getting old. I wanted to do something to celebrate surviving my twenties so I went Sky Diving! Strangely, I was very calm and excited for the jump. It's very quiet up in the plane with the door open. I could see for miles around. Free fall was incredible, once the chute deployed I was jerked up and then had some fun spinning around in circles. The landing was smooth and I was back on the ground before I knew it.

I hope to be able to jump again!

Stampin' Cat Studio Makes & Takes

I went to the amazing Designing Desserts event that Stampin' Cat Studios held last week. There was a wide variety of make and takes, delicious desserts, and goodie bags. What else does a girl need?

Here's my favorite make and takes from the evening.

The owls are adorable and I like the wintery feel and the sparkle.

I used Twinkling H2O's for the first time. It was a lot easier than I thought. I can see buying some in the future!

I'm a huge fan of shopping locally whenever I can, so please go support your local stores!

Create

First off, I want to apologize for the glare on the glass. I should have taken a photo before I put it in the frame. This project was inspired by Jana Eubank's Create and Dream project on the Circle Blog. This will make a nice little gift for an artist in the family.

All the paper is from a Basic Grey Recess paper pack. I used my Gypsy to search for "Create". I'm trying to make an effort to use my Gypsy more so baby steps are good.

Fabulous Fall

I love fall! The chill in the air, the leaves changing colors, an excuse to wear sweaters...

This layout was made using an old paper pack from Stampin' Up, 3 Birds, a label shape from the Imagine image library, and some fabulous stamps by Inkadinkado called Autumn Foliage from my not so secret sister, the very talented Marcjo♫♪ on the Circut Circle messageboard.

Now I just need a pic to put in the layout! Hopefully my dog will play along and sit nicely in a pile of leaves, well I can dream.

Baby Cards

A family friend is about to add a little boy to his family and my mom asked for a baby card at the last minute so I whipped up two for her to choose from. I wish I had taken the time to ink them up a bit, but I'm sure they won't care. Nursery Tails is great for baby cards and things, but it can be used for a variety of projects.

Spread Your Wings

I'm participating in a card swap at Stampin' Cat Studios and needed to make 10 cards in a hurry. Cricut Image and the Imagine More cart to the rescue! I used the cute notecard and then selected the Spread Your Wings in layers. It's hard to tell in the pic, but I inked everything and when a little crazy with the pop dots.

Halloween Blog Hop Card

So I had a lot of great questions about my card so now I know to include the details!

Here's the run down on my card.
Black magic paper is made by Core'dinations. This line has black on the top side and a different color core so when I ran it thru the Cuttlebug with the Tim Holtz embossing folder the green core came thru. I helped it along a bit by lightly sanding the embossed area. Then I used Smooch inks to "Paint" the embossed areas on certain images. The stars on the front of the card and the spider web and spider on the inside of the cards were done by using Design Adhesives Fright Night by Clear Snap. It's basically a rubon that has adhesive on the top. After applying the adhesive I used black fun flock to add some texture. The cardbase and interior paper are both from the Blackbird collection by My Mind's Eye.

Thanks for visiting!

I made a card for my project. I don't usually make really girly cards so this was a bit of a struggle, but fun! I used a lot of pink bling cardstock, Color Me Swirls paper from Hot Off the Press that I inked, a chipboard scalloped circle that took a little spin thru the Cuttlebug, and lots of pop dots. I used Stand and Salute for the ribbon and Gypsy Font for "Hope".

Autumn Wishes

A ridiculously easy card using paper from Pink Paislee. I inked the edges of the die cut, tied some ribbon and pop dotted it on the background paper. It was super simple, even by my standards. ;)

Printed Vinyl

I went a little overboard playing with the printed vinyl and the Imagine. My laptop is now all decorated!
