World Card Making Day Blog Hop

Isn’t this day better than Christmas?  Well, maybe I get a little carried away, but how amazing is it that all over the world there are people with a love of handmade cards!

Halloween Card 2

My photography skills are not the best so the sentiments are a little hard to read from the bad lighting.  The sentiment on the card is boo to you and on the tag it says happy haunting.

Halloween Tag1

All items A Muse.

  • Stamps: Too Cute To Spook
  • Cardstock: Wasabi, Onyx, Pumpkin, Vanilla, Slate Woodgrain & Sleepy Hollow.
  • Ink: Onyx & Wasabi
  • Felt: Slate
  • Embellishments: Onyx & White Bakers Twine
  • Dies: Spooky Fence, Classic Tags Set & Bat Trio Set

Just like the world goes round so does this blog hop, next stop is Lisa Chapman’s blog.

I thought I’d throw in a little blog candy to go with the Halloween theme.  Post a pic of a card you have made for World Card Making Day (with a way to contact you) by midnight October 3rd.  I’ll use the random number generator to determine the lucky winner.  The candy is an A Muse web die!  US residents only please.

A|S September Blog Hop

Welcome to the last stop on the blog hop!  You should have come from Lianna’s blog at http://llamatales.blogspot.com/

If  not, you can go to the start of the hop at the Studio Stampers blog at http://www.studiostampers.com

I really like the typewriter image and the fun phrases in Just My Type.  I’ve made six or seven cards with this set already and my other stamps might be getting neglected.

On this card, I decided to emboss the image in white on the onyx cardstock.  I used an Exacto knife to cut a slit for the paper to come out of the typewriter.  Sky ink was applied to the edges of the school lined paper to add some contrast along with the cherry ribbon.

All items are from A|S, available in my store, except the Fiskars notebook border punch.

Cardstock: kraft, sugar, and school lined
Ink: onyx, sky, and Versamark
Ribbon: cherry stitched grosgrain and onyx bakers twine
Embossing Powder: white

Here’s the full line up of the blog hop.

Manly card with felt

What’s more manly than mustaches?
100_0799
How about three mustaches.  Smile with tongue out
I stamped the images in Onyx and then used a glue pen to go over the area and then sprinkled Onyx flock over and pressed down a bit to get really good coverage.
I used a scallop border die for the strip of slate felt to add even more texture.
Dang, I should of taken a pic of the inside.  The sentiment is You da man!
All items are A|Muse Studio, check them out at my site.
Have a great day!
